ThunderFly s.r.o.
The company, focused on advanced UAV technology, concentrates on three main areas: unmanned aerial vehicles with unique features designed to operate in adverse weather conditions. The versatile TF-ATMON atmospheric measurement system, which offers a customizable UAV configuration with different types of sensors and a ground station. It measures a wide range of variables from solids and gases to radiation and temperature. Avionics components related to the previous areas. Compact devices, from environmental sensors to telemetry solutions, enhancing UAS efficiency, safety and communication.
TF-G2 unmanned autogyro: the special design of the TF-G2 allows it to take advantage of the specific characteristics of an autogyro (in particular, excellent stability in gusting winds, take-off and landing in crosswinds), a significant advantage compared to multicopters or other UAS designs. The TF-G2 is able to take off from hand or from a moving platform (e.g. from the roof of a car), can fly for up to 30 minutes (thus covering a trajectory of approximately 25 km at speeds of 7-25 m/s), and is capable of carrying micro-cargoes weighing around 100 g. Its small size (up to 1.5 kg) makes it easy to transport and maintain. The TF-G2 boasts an open-source design, auto-flight capability and its scalable 3D printed design allows for easy modifications and repairs. It finds particular use in applications with high demands for safety of operation in adverse conditions, such as research into extreme atmospheric phenomena such as thunderstorms.
