‘Up in the sky‘ is an exhibition that takes you on an exciting journey through the world of aviation. If you're fascinated by flying or you want to give your children an unforgettable experience, accept our invitation to this unique exhibition that will make your head spin.
You will see many unique exhibits that will take you through the history and present of aviation. Marvel at Otto Lilienthal, mankind's first pilot, and the iconic airship LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin. Meet the Fokker Dr.I Triplane, the most famous triplane of World War I, and the legendary World War II Supermarine Spitfire. Those interested in transport aircraft will appreciate the Douglas DC-3, while technology enthusiasts will be captivated by the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, one of the fastest aircraft in the history of flying. All this is complemented by many themed small model aircraft.
The exhibition also showcases the innovative future of aviation through Project ZURI. You can set in motion real high-performance and durable propellers from AVIA Propeller and admire piston engines from LOM Praha. You will be thrilled by drones like the Flapper drones and the unique ThunderFly vortex. Right on our website you can see an exceptional exhibition of photos taken from UAVA drones.
You'll deepen your knowledge with other interactive exhibits such as the aircraft wing buoyancy or a sound wall that will surround you with the sounds of the piston and jet engines of legendary aircraft. A 3G gyroscope will allow you to experience what pilots feel during 3G overloads. With another unique interactive exhibit, you'll learn how to control an aircraft with a knife and understand how aircraft control works.
“The ‘Up in the sky‘ exhibition is a collaboration of top aviation experts, artists and craftsmen who have ensured that all exhibits are as authentic as possible. Many of them are specially created for this exhibition so that you will take away not only a visual experience, but also a deeper understanding of aviation through interactive exhibits,“ says Pavel Kratochvíl, the curator of the exhibition.
“We wanted to make our exhibition available for as wide public as possible, which is why we are holding it in shopping centres, museums and other tourist locations with a high turnover of people. It will be held in many cities in the Czech Republic, but also in other places in Europe where we have already successfully held exhibitions,“ Kratochvíl adds.
Come and see how mankind fulfilled its dream of flying and what innovations await us in the future of aviation!

Czech aerospace cluster - is an association of Czech aerospace companies and educational institutions linked by a common interest in developing a competitive aerospace industry. The cluster consists of over 60 industrial companies, secondary vocational schools and technical universities.
AVIA Propeller - is a Czech company engaged in the design, manufacture and maintenance of all-metal aircraft propellers and propeller control systems
LOM Praha - is a state enterprise established by the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic specialising in the maintenance, repair and modernisation of helicopters and aviation equipment.
Zuri - the company's goal is to change the way people use on-demand door-to-door medium-haul flights. Travel on your own schedule and without airports. All of this provided by technology and design that does not compromise passenger safety and comfort.
ThunderFly - is a company specializing in the development and manufacture of atmospheric measurement systems, unmanned aircraft designed to operate in adverse weather conditions, and related avionics components.
Flapper Drones - is a startup company that develops and manufactures winged drones inspired by insects or hummingbirds. It was founded as a spinoff of the Technical University of Delft (Netherlands) and is based in Jablonec nad Nisou (Czech Republic) since 2022.

Drones are making a significant contribution to 21st century aviation, bringing with their size, accessibility, a whole new perspective on the landscape and environment around us, and also new uses for aviation, as in this short selection of aerial photographs by the Czech company UpVision.
In this photo of Prague Airport, drones are used to establish visibility across the airport from the upcoming new taller air traffic control tower, as well as drones used to monitor the airport runway. Under certain conditions, drones can also be used to identify underground drainage pipes in fields and meadows, which are several tens of centimetres underground and often have no records.
Drones also bring new insights into the landscape, revealing in all their glory images that we do not even notice from the ground, such as the heart of the paths in the forests near Pecka Castle or the formations of the plain - bounded blocks of land related to earlier settlement and cultivation. These blocks create beautiful patterns that we cannot see from the ground and have no idea of their existence.
Similarly, unusual views of the landscape can be discovered, such as Bezdrev, the second largest pond in the Czech Republic, where drones map its bottom as it is fished and can detect siltation over the years and a depth map. What Prague Castle looks like from above, or other sights like Mariánský Týnec, Ještěd, castles and chateaus, nature and our surroundings. Enjoy these unusual views and feel how drones bring new dimensions of view, but also use all around us...
